Welcome to our Featured Morphs section.

As new mutations, morphs and hybrids are constantly being proven out and produced, we will feature some of them here. Most of these will eventually make their way into future updated versions of Designer Morphs ©. (of course we won’t show everything here, just a few of the ones we like the most !!!).

Additionally as there are more than just cool Boid morphs out there we will also featured some of the most outstanding Arboreal and Venomous morphs as well. Old Featured morphs will be moved into the archives so be sure to book mark the site as over time we will have tons of awesome morphs up here. Enjoy !!

Cheers, John

PS. If you have a cool new mutation, morph or hybrid you can use the “Submit a Morph” section to submit your snake to be considered for the site and possible inclusion in a future edition of Designer Morphs ©

Featured Morph: (April 2008): Blonde Hypo Vanilla Ball Python

Common name of mutation: Hypo Vanilla Ball Python

Scientific name: (Python Regius)

Details of genetics: Recessive x co-dominant mutation

Comments: The Hypo Vanilla is the result of breeding a Ghost with a Vanilla to produce Vanillas het for Hypo. Breeding these back to a Hypo (or het Hypo) produces the Hypo Vanilla.

Hypo Vanillas have been produced with both Orange and Blonde Hypos. The one pictured above is Blonde Hypo Vanilla.

The Co-dominant Vanilla gene acts to reduce melanin and thus produces very clean looking snakes. When mixed with the frosted Orange Hypo trait, the results are spectacular.

The dominant, super version of the Vanilla gene, the Super Vanilla can add another whole dimension to creating clean, bright looking designer morphs.
